The SIG7720 module receives a digital data stream (Transport Stream) coming from digital receiver (i.e.
SIG7100) trough the HeadLine back panel connector; it selects a series of programs within the digital
terrestrial multiplex and sends them to the IP network. The resulting IP stream is sent in multicast mode
to reduce the global IP traffic on the network because it is sent by the Ethernet switches only to the
customers that ask for it.
The signal on the IP is received and displayed by using an IP-Set Top Box or a PC.
Each single SIG7720 module can select and incapsulate over IP the video digital terrestrial uncrypted
programs; each one of them can be assigned to a single multicast IP address.
IMPORTANT: for the correct functioning of the module, the 20Mbit/s maximum
through output for each SIG7720 module should not be exceeded (refer to the
MEASURE -> TOTAL Kbps menù on the TPE or WEB MANAGEMENT -> PROGRAM
LIST ->TOTAL Kbps on the WEB interface menù).
