PRODUCT USE
ATTENTION: To avoid injury from accidental starting, always turn off the machine and disconnect
it from the mains before moving, changing the drill or making adjustments.
COMMISSIONING
1.
To turn on the machine, press the green ON ("I") button.
2.
To switch off the machine: Press the red OFF ("O") key.
TABLE HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
ATTENTION: It is recommended that the table be positioned so that the tip of the drill bit is slightly
above the top of the workpiece.
1.
Loosen the table lock lever (b). Loosen only enough so that the board
can slide up/down on the column.
2.
Move the table (3) to the desired position.
3.
Tighten the table locking lever firmly.
INSTALLATION OF DRILL BITS
1.
To open/close the chuck jaws, turn the outside of the chuck to the left
(counterclockwise) viewed from above to open the jaws; turn to the right
(clockwise) viewed from above to close the jaws.
2.
Insert the drill bit into the chuck long enough to obtain maximum grip from the
chuck jaws. Make sure the drill bit is centered.
3.
Tighten the chuck with the chuck key. Turn the chuck key clockwise to the right
to tighten it; turn it counterclockwise to the left to loosen it.
FIXING THE WORKPIECE
•
For items long enough to touch the column, make sure the edge of the workpiece touches the left side of the
column so that the column does not rotate.
•
For smaller workpieces, attach to the table with appropriate clamps or fasteners (not supplied). For workpieces
that cannot be fixed, fix them with a drill jaw (not supplied) and fix them to the table.
•
Always place a piece of scrap support material on the table underneath the workpiece. This helps reduce chips
and burrs at the end of the drilled hole and protects the table surface.
