WARNING: Carefully read the safety precautions before using
the hedgetrimmer.
The machine must be held to the right of the operator's body,
this will ensure exhaust fumes are directed away from the
operator and will not be obstructed by the operator's clothing.
If you have not used the machine before, spend some time in
becoming familiar with the controls and method of usage
before operation. Check the machine carefully before using
it, make sure that there are no loosened screws, damaged
parts or fuel leakages. Check the condition of the antivibration
components on a regular basis. Avoid using the hedgetrimmer
over excessively long periods of time, excessive amounts of
vibration can be harmful. Remove from the working area grit,
debris, ropes, metal parts or any other objects which might
get entangled around the blades. Put on the harness and
clip the harness to the hanger fig.1. Keep the right hand on
the accelerator handle and the left handle on the loop handle.
Use the machine as illustrated Fig. 8 - 9 -10 and 11.
- It is forbidden to work on ladders, branches or from other
unsteady situations.
- Remove the blades guard (21) fig.1 - The blades must not
touch the ground or any object.
ADJUSTING THE BLADES ANGLE POSITION
In order to make easier the hedge cutting operation the angle
of the hedgetrimmer blades can be adjusted from 0° to 90°.
To change the blades angle:
- wear safety gloves
- stop the engine
- get hold of the handle (1) with the right hand and at the same
time, with the left hand, push down the lever (2) in order to
release the ring lock (3). Adjust the blades angle by rotating

Fig.20- Harness and balancing adjustments. Put on the
harness. Clip the harness (3) to the hanger (2). Adjust by the
buckle (4) to obtain the correct machine height. Adjust harness
hanger (1) moving back or forward in order to find out the
best balance between the cutting tool and the weight of the
engine.
FUEL
WARNING. The machine is equipped with a two stroke
engine. Always run the machine with fuel, which is mixed
with oil. Only prepare the quantity of fuel for each job. Do not
smoke. Refill when the engine is switched off and away from
naked flame. AIways use a minimum octane number of 90.
Mix fresh gasoline and ACTIVE oil in the ratio of 50:1 (2%). If
the ACTIVE oil is not available use a good 2 stroke oil quality
in the ratio of 25:1 (4%) see fig.13
Important: always shake this fuel mix vigorously each time
you use it. Fuel mix properties deteriorate with time we
therefore recommend that you only make the quantity of fuel
mix you will need for each usage. Do not use fuel mix more
than a week old as this could damage the engine. Fill the
brushcutter fuel tank only to 3/4 capacity to allow for fuel
expansion.
FUELING
WARNING: always shut off the engine before refueling. Slowly
6. RULES OF USE
the lever (1).
- Release the lever (2) as soon as the adjustment has been
made. Make sure the teeth (4) are well engaged on the ring
lock (3)
EXAMPLES TO OPERATE THE HEDGE TRIMMER
- To reduce stress and for safety we recommend that you use
the harness.
- Choose the suitable blade angle adjustment according to
the shape of the hedge.
- Set the throttle lever at half position and start to cut the
hedge.
- Start to cut step by step in order to avoid to damaged the
hedge or to damaged the hedgetrimmer on the bigger
branches.
HORIZONTAL CUTTING
Before operating to set the blades angle in order that the
operator could be in an upright position and comfortable. The
blades must be parallel with the top of the edge
VERTICAL CUTTING
By adjusting the blades angle the operator can set as he likes
the operating distance from the hedge.
To cut from the bottom up or the other way round.
HEDGE TOP CUTTING
To set the blades angle according with the hedge hight.
If the 30° angle is not enough, to turn the attachment and set
the suitable angle.
The extension can be used in order to cut the top of the higher
hedges.
7. PREPARING FOR USE
open the cap of the fuel tank, when filling up with fuel, so that
possible over pressure disappears. Tighten the fuel cap
carefully after fuelling. Always move the machine at least 3
m (10Ft) from the fueling area before starting. Before fueling
clean the tank cap area carefully, to ensure that no dirt falls
into the tank make sure that the fuel is well mixed by shaking
the container before fueling.
STARTING
Lay the machine on a flat, bare surface and make sure that
the cutting tool is free.
- Move ignition switch to (1). Fig.14
- Push primmer bulb (3) repeatedly 5 to 6 times. Fig. 14/A.
- Turn the button (1) in position A, Fig. 14/A.
While holding the machine firmly pull the starting handle until
engine runs.
Once the engine runs, turn the button (1) in postion B, and
let the engine idle.
Warning: once the engine is warmed up do not use the
primmer bulb (3) and the "automatic starter" (1) fig.14/A.
Do not release the starter handle in pulled out position,
as this may damage the starting ass'y.
STOPPING ENGINE fig.14
Set the throttle lever (2) to idle position and wait a few
seconds to let the engine cool off. Move the ignition switch
to "stop" position (0).
