• Smaller material plates which do not fill out the heating element,
must be placed on the right-hand side of the heating element where
the temperature sensor is located.
• The four star knobs can adjust the height of the cover based on the
thickness of material being used. The knobs should be screwed in
or out the same amount.
• Maximum pressure--or no pressure at all--can be exerted on the
hold-down clamp by adjusting the star knobs (see picture).
• The sheet material to be processed must be clean and with no re-
sidues, including, for example, coloring pens. It must be processed
without talcum powder.
• For more detailed information on the "optimum processing tem-
perature" and further information on processing the plate material,
see "Manufacturer's Instructions."
• If the maximum pressure is exerted on the material, the surface that
is in contact with the cover may leave an imprint of the Teflon Shee-
ting on the sheet material. This matted surface can be turned either
inside or, for visual effect, to the outside.
