5 Description (Fig. 2)
The 757Z184=2 und 757Z190=2 Battery Mounting Sets are used to mount
battery receptacles in either a laminated socket or an Ottobock elbow
unit, such as an ErgoArm elbow.
The Battery Receptacles are designed to accommodate an EnergyPack
757B20 or 757B21 to provide electric power for the prosthesis.
The integrated snap connection provides a quick way to remove the Bat-
tery Receptacle from the socket in order to, for example, do repairs or
maintenance work inside the socket.
By connecting the Battery Receptacle to the 757T11 MyoCom it is pos-
sible to make customer specific adjustments on Ottobock System Electric
Hands and System Electric Greifers with lamination ring, lamination plate
or threaded connection while the patient is wearing the prosthesis. The
System Electric Hand or Greifer can remain attached to the socket (Fig. 2).
By connecting the Battery Receptacle to the 757M11 MyoBoy the muscle
signals can be evaluated as well while the patient is wearing the prosthesis.
6 Installation
6.1 Installation into a laminated socket (Fig. 3 – Fig. 9)
Prepare the inner socket following the appropriate procedures, foam up
and rough-grind. Set the lamination pattern into the rigid foam so that the
edge rises at least 2 mm above the foam.
