Transport with the carriage
☞ When locking the brake wheels [B], make sure
that the USV is aligned between the brake wheels.
D WARNING!
Risk of toppling!
For transport within the clinic or hospital, push the
USV down to the pre-assembled stop (max. 70 cm
above the floor) and bring it into the preferred
position.
Guide the device during transport.

Operation
7.1
Function test
D WARNING!
The ultrasonic nebuliser is used for the treatment
of patients exclusively according to its intended use.
A performance limitation of the device can lead to
complications during treatment.
Before each use, the ultrasonic nebuliser must be
subjected to a complete functional test. Make sure
that
− the bacteria filter is installed and functional,
− the tubes and nebuliser chamber are assembled
and functional and there are no residues in these,
− the tubes and the nebuliser chamber are secure,
leak-tight and no mechanical forces are applied to
the tubes; the tubes must not be kinked,
− device parts made of plastic or rubber are in
perfect condition and show no signs of ageing,
− the mains cable is free of damage,
− the nebuliser chamber is sufficiently filled,
− the retainer rests on the respective cover.
7.2
Beginning operation
Only carry out aerosol therapy according to the
instructions of a doctor!
☞ Point the open end of the long tube at the mouth
and nose area or at the opening of the tracheal
cannula.
☞ Maintain a minimum distance of 20 cm from the
patient.
☞ Set the toggle switch on the rear to "I" (on).
☞ Set the desired nebuliser output.
☞ Set the desired air flow.
☞ Ensure an adequate liquid level.
