4-hole adapter
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND MAINTENANCE

Please read the instructions carefully. Make sure that the user understands the instructions
for use, paying particular attention to the safety and maintenance warnings.
APPLICATION
The 4-hole adapter is used in lower-limb prostheses and serves to fasten modules and sock-
ets with flat supporting surfaces and four M6 threaded holes and M36x1.5-6g threaded
cores.

DESCRIPTION OF THE STRUCTURE
The 4-hole adapter consists of base 1 (see Fig. 1) which features an M36x1.5 thread and four
holes for fastening to the socket support. Height H of base 1 is 10 mm.
To fasten the modules by means of the thread to base 1, it features through slot B, which is
tightened with screw 3 through bolt 2.
The 4-hole adapter is compatible with Orliman's modular lower-limb prosthetic systems.

FITTING THE ITEM TO THE PROSTHESIS
When adjusting the cores to the M36x1.5 thread of base 1, it is necessary to ensure that the
length of the screwing of the pair is not less than 9 mm, in addition, to carry out the adjust-
ment, it is possible to reduce the length of screwing to 8.5 mm. The fastening of the core to
thread B is carried out with the retaining clamp of base 1 with screw 3.
The 4-hole adapter is fastened to the socket with screws 4, as shown in Figure 2, and the
screws should protrude 9-11 mm from the surface of the connection.
ATTENTION: During final assembly of the prosthesis, it is recommended to apply Loctite 241
threadlocker to the threads of screws 4 and respect the following sequence for tightening
screws 3 and 4:
Firstly, tighten the screws 4 that are furthest away from slot B with a torque 14 Nm, then
screw 3 to 8 Nm and finally tighten the rings 4 that are closest to slot B, as shown in Figure
