4-hole socket adapter for the 7H08A hole lock

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND MAINTENANCE
Dear Customer,
Please read the instructions carefully. Make sure that the user understands the instructions
for use, paying particular attention to the safety and maintenance warnings.
APPLICATION
The 4-hole socket adapter is used in the sockets of femoral and tibial prostheses. It serves
to connect the socket to the 7H08A hole lock.

DESCRIPTION OF THE STRUCTURE
The 4-hole socket adapter consists of support 1 (see Fig. 1) and four screws 2 of 30 mm in
length for connection to the 7H08A hole lock.
The support has been manufactured by machining, ensuring high strength and quality.

FITTING THE ITEM TO THE PROSTHESIS
During lamination preparation, the cap, position 4, is fixed (see Fig. 2) with nails 5, to the
plaster mould, position 6. (The heads of the nails, position 5, should not be allowed to pro-
trude from the cap, position 4). The socket support is fitted, position 2, with the fixing screws,
position 3, to the cap, position 4, and fixed with the screw, position 1.
The arrow located on the socket support should be aligned in the anteroposterior direction.

The base, position 2, is fitted to the socket by lamination. After lamination, remove the re-
maining resin to the surface of the screws, forming a flat support platform.
Remove the fixing screws, position 3, the screw, position 1, and the cap, position 4 (Fig. 2).
The 7H08A hole lock, position 3, connects to the support with the socket, position 1 (see Fig.
3) using 4 screws, position 4. The tightening torque can be obtained from the Instructions
for Use for the 7Н08А.

RECOMMENDATIONS - WARNINGS
These products should not be used for purposes other than those described in these instruc-
tions. They should only be used by one person and under the conditions prescribed.
Before use, the product must be adapted by an orthopaedic technician.
When disposing of the product and packaging, strictly comply with the refuse disposal reg-
ulations of your community.
In knee joints, there is risk of entrapment, use caution.
As the product features metal components, use caution in the case of magnetic resonance.

Decree 1591/2009). They have undergone tests in accordance with international standard
EN ISO 22523 for prostheses and orthoses and EN ISO 10328 for lower-limb prostheses.
