15. If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a cord with an
ampere rating equal to or greater than the maximum rating of the
iron shall be used. A cord rated for less amperage can result in
a risk of fire or electric shock due to overheating. Care shall be
taken to arrange the cord so that it cannot be pulled or be tripped
over.
16. The filling aperture must not be opened during use. Instructions
for the safe refilling of the water reservoir shall be given.
17. The iron is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are
visible signs of damage or if it is leaking.
18. Do not set the iron on an unprotected surface, even if it is on the
heel rest.
19. The plug must be removed from the socket-outlet before the
water reservoir is filled with water.
20. If the iron is not operating normally, disconnect from power
supply and have the iron serviced by an authorized service
center.
21. To prevent the risk of burns, body parts should be kept away
from the area being steamed.
22. Do not steam garments while wearing them; this may result in
injuries.
23. Auto-Off is a safety feature. This is not a recommended means
for turning your iron off.
