you do not hear the short beeps or the alarm, the unit is still in the walk test
mode and the time out of the room should be extended.
4. To disarm the unit after the test: Enter "0" followed by "# ON/OFF". The unit
is now disarmed and the test is complete. The walk test can be performed
anytime the alarm system is first activated.
5. Mount the unit to the wall using the template provided. Mark the location of the
holes and install anchors and screws, leaving
the screws wit approximately 6mm (1/4") of
thread left showing. Slide the unit over the
screws and down to secure into place. You may
adjust the screws in or out so the unit fits snugly.
9. Setting Your Secret Keypad Code
NOTE:
As mentioned earlier, when the battery is installed for the first time or any time the
battery is replaced in the unit, the secret code is automatically set to "0". The
device will be in the active mode. Be sure to deactivate the unit before
programming the personal security code. To deactivate the unit, press "0" and then
"# ON/OFF". The programmable security code can be from a 1 to 12-digit code.
Short codes such as 1 to 3 digits are easy to remember, longer codes can provide
greater safety.
To program your security code after battery installation:
1. Press the digit "0".
2. Press the "*/CODE" button.
3. Enter the code (1 to 12 digits).
4. Press the "*/CODE" button. You will hear a two-beep confirmation.
To change existing code to a new code:
1. Enter the old code.
2. Press the "*/CODE" button.
3. Enter your new code (1 to 12 digits).
4. Press the "*/CODE" button. You will hear a two-beep confirmation.
NOTE:
Anytime the code number is not entered properly, you will hear several fast beeps.
Simply re-enter your code again.
10. Alarm Operation
1. Before activating the device, move the slide switch to "ALARM".
2. Enter your security code and press the "#ON/OFF" button. There will be a short
beep and the "ARM" light will illuminate momentarily. The "ARM" light will
illuminate continuously until disarmed, as long as there is AC power. The device
will automatically arm itself after no motion has been detected in the area for
approximately two minutes.
3. Upon entering, you have approximately 10-15 seconds to disarm the control
unit before the alarm sounds. During this period, there will be short low-level
beeps to indicate an intruder has been detected and the "INTRUSION" indicator
light will illuminate. If the alarm is not disarmed within 10-15 seconds, the siren
will sound for 50 seconds and then automatically reset to armed mode. The
device will continue to remain armed until disarmed with the proper code.
4. To disarm the unit, enter your security code and press the "#ON/OFF" button.
11. Alarm Operation
1. Slide the switch to the "CHIME" position.
2. Enter your security code followed by the "#ON/OFF" button; the "ARM" light will
illuminate. If this does not happen, repeat steps 1 to 2.
