OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Replacing the Filters
WARNING
: To reduce the risk of electric
shock, the power cord must be
disconnected before changing the bag or
performing maintenance/ troubleshooting.
Changing & Cleaning the
Pre-Motor Filter
Your vacuum is equipped with a filtration
system to reduce dust and pollen in your
home as you clean. The pre-motor filter
is located inside the vacuum cleaner
body behind the dust bag. Check when
changing the dust bag and replace when
dirty.
This is a rinse-able filter but should be
replaced every three (3) to six (6)
months, depending on usage. Never
operate the vacuum without ALL the
filters in place
1. Push the Power On/Off button to the
"Off" position and disconnect the
power cord from the wall outlet.
2. To remove, open the dust bag
compartment cover and remove the
pre-motor filter out of the vacuum.
3. Rinse in lukewarm water and let it air
dry completely for 24 hours. Do not
use a washing machine to rinse the
filter. Do not use a hair dryer to dry it.
Air dry only. When the pre-motor
filter is completely dry, insert the filter
into the vacuum. (Fig. 11)

Changing & Cleaning the Post
Motor Filter
The post motor filter should be replaced
every three (3) to six (6) months
depending on usage. Never operate the
vacuum without ALL the filters in place.
1. Push the Power On/Off button to the
"Off" position and disconnect the
power cord from the wall outlet.
2. The post motor filter is located at the
rear of the unit.
3. Push down on the tab of the post
motor filter assembly and pull the
assembly out. (Fig. 12)
4. Remove the post-motor from the
filter assembly. (Fig. 13)
5. Rinse in lukewarm water and let it air
dry completely for 24 hours. Do not
use a washing machine to rinse the
filter. Do not use a hair dryer to dry it.
Air dry only. When the post-motor
filter is completely dry, insert it in the
filter into the vacuum.

Motor Thermostat
IMPORTANT
: This unit is equipped
with a motor protective thermostat. If
for some reason the vacuum cleaner
should overheat, the thermostat will
automatically turn the unit off. Should
this occur:
Push the On/Off button once.
Disconnect the plug from the power
source.
Check the source of overheating
problem. (i.e. clogged hose or
filter)
If clogged hose or filter is found,
unclog the hose and replace the
filters.
Wait at least 45 minutes before
attempting to reuse the vacuum.
After unit has cooled down for 45
minutes, plug in the cleaner and
push the On/Off button. The vacuum
should start again.
If the vacuum still does not start,
contact customer service at
1 (800) 275-9251.

IMPORTANT:
Si la trappe de succion, le boyau ou les tubes de rallonge sont
OBSTRUÉS, éteignez l'aspirateur et retirez l'obstruction avant de
redémarrer l'appareil.
1. N'approchez pas l'aspirateur
trop près des éléments
chauffants ou des radiateurs.
2. Avant d'insérer la fiche d'alimentation
dans la prise murale, assurez-vous que
vos mains sont sèches.
3. Avant de commencer à nettoyer,
assurez-vous de retirer tout gros
objet ou tout objet coupant
pouvant endommager l'aspirateur.
4. Lorsque vous retirez le cordon
d'alimentation de la prise murale,
tirez sur la fiche et non pas sur le
cordon.
5. Ne ramassez aucun objet fumant
ou brûlant tels que les cigarettes,
allumettes ou cendres chaudes.
6. N'utilisez pas l'aspirateur sans tous
ses filtres et son sac à poussière.
Remarque:
Cet aspirateur est doté
d'un cordon d'alimentation auto
rétractable. Si la fiche ou le cordon sont
endommagés, ils doivent être remplacés
par un technicien qualifié.
AVERTISSEMENT:
Tenez
toujours la fiche lorsque vous
rembobinez le cordon d'alimentation. Ne
laissez pas fouetter le cordon lorsque
vous rembobinez.
