3. Insert the clean, dry nose tip into the child's nostril.
The connection point of the connecting tube should point
downwards while in use.
NOTE: Do not pinch or block the other nostril while using the nasal
aspirator.
4. Turn on the device by pushing the control button.
NOTE: Any time you are not actively using the device, switch it off.
After the motor cycles off completely, you can restart it.
The device turns itself off automatically after 15 minutes of
continuous use but it can be restarted. In case of overuse or if
insufficient ventilation is provided, the thermal switch switches off
the device and will prevent reuse for approx. 45 minutes for safety
reasons.
5. Move the nose tip around gently to make sure that you get all
areas of the nostril.
TIP: The suggested length of contact aspiration is 10 seconds
per nostril.
TIP: Dry, very thick mucus can be dissolved by a mild saline solution.
After using the solution, wait a few minutes, wipe excess
discharge with a tissue, then reuse the nasal aspirator as directed.
NOTE: To avoid damage to the device, do not use more than a
teaspoon of solution at a time. The patented design of the
Colibri head can hold up to a teaspoon of thin liquid and
prevent mucus from entering the connecting tube.
