· Flush your eyes with clean water for a mini-
mum of 10 minutes and seek immediate medi-
cal attention. Inform the medical staff that the
liquid is from a Ni-Cd battery.
• Never attempt to open the battery pack for
any reason. If the plastic housing of the bat-
tery pack breaks open or cracks, immediately
discontinue its use and do not recharge it.
• Do not store or carry a spare battery pack in a
pocket or toolbox or any other place where it
may come into contact with metal objects. The
battery pack may be short circuited causing
damage to the battery pack, burns or a fire. If
storing or disposing the battery pack, cover the
terminals with a heavy insulation tape to en-
sure short circuit cannot occur. Batteries, when
stored for a long period of time, will discharge.
• Do not store or use the tool and battery pack
in locations where the temperature may reach
or exceed 50°C such as alongside sheds or met-
al structures in the summer.
• Allow the battery pack to cool down after
charging. Do not place it in a hot environment
such as a metal shed or open trailer left in the
sun.
• Only charge the battery with the charger sup-
plied.

INITIAL CHARGE OF THE DRILL
The package of the battery has been sent with
a low charge level to avoid possible problems.
Therefore, you will have top charge it at least
for 6 hours before beginning to use it.
TO CHARGE
The battery pack must be charged for 1 hour
before first use. After first charge allow to 1
hour to pass before recharging again.
Recharge battery when is not functioning cor-
rectly. Do not use the hammer drill when the
battery pack is discharged, recharge immedi-
ately. To prolong battery pack life do not re-
charge for over an hour, even though this one
is not a security problem this might shorten
battery life.
1. To start charging, remove battery pack from
the power tool by the releasing buttons on
both sides of the tool.
2. Put battery pack on the charger, aligning
positive terminal with positive terminal, and
negative terminals together.
3. Make sure that outlet source is the same in
the nominal plate.
NOTA: The battery pack just fit in one position.

INSERTING AND REMOVING A BIT
WARNING: Remove the battery pack and set
the forward/reverse control to the locked cen-
ter position when installing or removing bits to
prevent accidental starting.

Turn the keyless chuck
counter-clockwise direc-
tion to loosen the collet,
insert the bit or other
accessory into the key-
less chuck and tighten
securely by turning the
keyless chuck clockwise direction. Make sure
the keyless chuck is tightened in place.
