water supply by closing the tap (see chapter on connecting to
the mains water supply).
After completing maintenance, before reconnecting the hydro-
blaster to the mains water supply, make sure the panels are
replaced correctly and fixed with the screws.
Failure to do so could represent a hazard.

FREEZE PROTECTION

The hydroblaster must not be exposed to freezing con-
ditions.
At the end of work or if the hydroblaster is left unused for some
time in an environment at risk of freezing, you must use antifree-
ze to prevent serious damage to the hydraulic circuit.
FILLING WITH ANTIFREEZE
(Fig. 13)
1 - Turn off the water supply
(tap), disconnect the fill hose
and operate the hydroblaster
until it is completely empty.
2 - Stop the hydroblaster
(see chapter on stopping the
hydroblaster).
3 - Prepare the antifreeze
solution in a container.
4 - Place the suction hose in
the container with the antifree-
ze solution.
5 - Start the hydroblaster.
6 - Operate the hydroblaster until antifreeze comes out of the
lance.
7 - Stop the hydroblaster.
!
Important
Antifreeze may cause pollution. Always follow the instructions
on the pack closely.
(Do not dispose of in the environment).
CHECKING AND CHAN-
GING THE PUMP AND GE-
ARBOX OIL.
Check the oil level in the high
pressure pump and gearbox
by means of the sight glass
(Fig. 14A) or dipstick (Fig.
14B).
If the oil is milky, contact a
technical service centre.
Change the oil after the first
50 hours of work and then
after every 500 hours or once
a year.
Proceed as follows:
1) Unscrew the oil drain plug
under the pump (Fig. 14C).
2) Unscrew the cap with the
dipstick (Fig. 14).

Use only SAE 15 W40 oil for
the H.P. pump and SAE 80
W90 for the gearbox.
English
3) Allow the oil to drain com-
pletely into a recipient and
consign it to an authorised oil
disposal centre.
4) Screw up the drain plug
and pour the oil into the top
hole (Fig. 15A) until it reaches
the level indicated on the sight
glass (Fig. 15B).
CLEANING THE WATER
FILTER
Clean the water filter periodi-
cally and free it from impurities
(Fig. 16).
CHECKING THE LEVEL
AND CHANGING THE EN-
GINE OIL
Before starting the machine,
check the level of engine oil
by removing the cap with the
dipstick (Fig. 17).
To avoid damaging the engi-
ne, operate it only:
- if the oil level is between the
Max and Min levels marked on
the dipstick;
- if the cap is securely in place
on the oil hose.
Never fill above the Max level
marked on the dipstick.
Changing the oil:
Change the oil after the first
two hours of operation, then
after every 25 hours, or more
frequently if the engine is operating in particularly harsh condi-
tions or dusty environments.
Change the oil when the engine is still hot after use.
!
Important
Use clean high quality SAE 10W-30 detergent oil for general
use, class API-SF or SG.
Consult the engine instructions for more detailed information.
Disconnect the high tension wire from the sparkplug before
changing the engine oil.
For instructions on changing the oil, see the engine instructions.
Exhausted oil must be disposed of at an authorised collection
centre.
