FITTING INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Before starting on assembly, you should read the instructions carefully.
Remove the bumper from the body. The attachment points for the bum-
per are situated partly at the places indicated by the arrows in fig. 1. Put
the bumper somewhere where it will not be damaged. Remove the
towing eyes. The attachment points for the towing eyes are situated on
the underside of the chassis and are indicated in fig. 2 and fig. 3. The
towing eyes and the towing eye bolts, once removed, are not replaced.
2. Place the stencil on the underside, in the middle of the outside of the
bumper, as in fig. 4. Allow the stencil to follow the contours of the bum-
per, and cut out a piece, 170 mm x 45 mm. Place the supports C and D,
as well as the counterplates E as in fig. 5 and fig. 6. Place 4 bolts
M12x60 including flat and spring washers in points B, and tighten FIN-
GER TIGHT. Place the towbar between the supports C and D, as in the
sketch and fig. 1. Place two bolts M12x30 with spring washers at the
points G, and two bolts M12x30 with spring washers and nuts at points
H, and tighten FINGER TIGHT.
3. First, tighten the bolts at points G and H, and then the bolts at points B,
in accordance with the table. Fit the ball rod using one bolt M12x65/21.2
and one bolt M12x70/26.2 together with plain washers and self-locking
nuts and tighten FINGER TIGHT. Tighten the bolt M12x65/21.2 in
accordance with the table and remove the bolt M12x70/26.2 . Replace
the bumper and fit the bolt M12x70/26.2 including socket plate, washer
and self-locking nut. Then tighten these in accordance with the table.

NOTE:
* Remove the insulating material from the contact area of the fitting points.
* All bolts are quality 8.8 - nuts 8. or when mentioned in fitting instructions
10.9 / 10.
* Don't forget the spring- and plain washers.
* Consult your dealer for the maximum tolerated pull weight and ball
hitch pressure of your vehicle.
* It is recommendable to retighten all fixing bolts and nuts after the towbar
has been in use for some 1000 km/600 miles.
* Do not drill through brake-or fuellines.
* Remove (if present) the plastic caps from the spot welding nuts.
Torque settings for nuts and bolts (8.8):
M12
79 Nm
71 Nm (with self-locking nut)
