Introduction
Dear customer,
Before you read the instructions for use in the following pages we wish to congratulate you for having chosen a MetaSystem
product and we would like to give you some general information that you will surely fi nd particularly useful in helping you to
become completely familiar with all the features of your new alarm system which is combined with your car's original radio
remote control.
While you are away from the car the alarm ensures that no one opens any part of it, that there is no interruption in the power
supply and no one breaks a window to enter the vehicle. All these events trigger an alarm light and siren and, by means of
a specifi c function, you will be sent notifi cation of the ongoing event to your private phone in real time by adding a satellite
tracker (optional). What's more, by adding another optional module the system is able to close the electric windows auto-
matically when it is activated.
Operation
The alarm is activated automatically when you use the standard radio remote control to lock your car's doors and is confi rmed
when the indicator lights and the LED fl ash.
It is deactivated when you use the radio control again to unlock the doors and confi rmed by the indicator lights that fl ash
and the LED that turns off .
Note: If the standard radio remote control malfunctions and you have to unlock the car with a mechanical key, the system
activates the alarm light and siren when the door is opened and to stop them you need to follow the steps explained in
the "Emergency" chapter.
During the first 25 seconds after the alarm has been activated, all security alarm events are indicated by one flash of
the indicator lights and a beep of the siren. After 25 seconds the system enters the warning status and a full alarm is
triggered in response to any security breach event.
When the alarm is activated check:
- opening of the doors, boot and bonnet:
- access to the car's interior by means of volumetric protection:
- cutting of the power supply by means of an independent battery incorporated in the alarm control unit;
- attempts to start the car.
Additional security functions can be added to the standard ones by connecting optional modules such as impact
sensors, anti-lifting sensors or automatic window closing.
Car check
If the door, boot or bonnet is open or not closed properly when the alarm is activated, the system cannot guarantee the
security standard for which it is designed. To prevent this happening, a few seconds after activation the system warns you of
the problem by giving 4 short beeps.
Disabling the ultrasound sensors
If you want to leave the car with the windows open you have to disable the ultrasound sensors.
To disable the volumetric protection proceed as explained and illustrated below; turn the ignition key twice in succession
(ON/OFF-ON/OFF); after the 3 beeps the control unit locks the car with the original radio remote control within the next
20 seconds.
The LED fl ashes very quickly to indicate that the alarm is on with the volumetric protection disabled.
Disabling the optional modules
If you wish to lock the car and activate the alarm during transportation on another vehicle or on a ship, any optional modules
installed, e.g. impact and anti-lifting modules, must be disabled.
To disable the optional devices, turn the ignition key three times in succession (ON/OFF-ON/OFF-ON/OFF) and after the
acoustic signal of the control unit lock the car with the original radio remote control within the next 20 seconds.
The LED fl ashes very quickly to indicate that the alarm is on with the optional modules disabled.
Note: For cars without an ignition key, follow the same procedure using the ignition button.
Note: The functions are disabled only on this occasion; next time the alarm is activated, unless the disabling procedure is
repeated, the ultrasound sensors and any other optional modules will be operational.
LED
The LED installed specially on your car's dashboard provides you
with information about the alarm system status.
Note: If the LED flashes after the alarm is deactivated please
read the contents of the "Alarms Memory" chapter.

Alarm memory

If the LED fl ashes after the alarm has been deactivated it means
one or more acoustic alarms were triggered in your absence. Re-
fer to the table to fi nd the cause.
The alarm repeats the indication every 6 seconds until the ve-
hicle's instrument panel is switched on or until the alarm is re-
activated.
