Automatic activation of the alarm
If automatic activation is on it means you can leave the doors unlocked and still be protected. When you return to the car,
deactivate the alarm by locking and unlocking the doors with the original radio remote control and, after you have opened
the door, activate the instrument panel within the next 50 seconds otherwise the system will activate itself again.
Garage function (usable in the case of automatic activation on)
If you have to leave your car in the garage and you want to disable automatic activation temporarily, it is possible with
the following procedure:
- Deactivate the alarm, turn the instrument panel on, press the push button/LED and then switch the instrument panel off immediately;
- 1 beep of the siren confi rms disabling for the next 15 times the instrument panel is switched on and to reset the func-
tion just lock the doors with the original radio remote control.
Emergency
If you have lost the original transmitter or the batteries are flat, you can still get into the car using the mechanical key.
When you open the door the system triggers an alarm light and siren; to stop the alarm you need to enter
the product's Override code and confirmation is given when the LED turns off and the alarm condition stops.
The Override code is different for each product and the installer will affix it on the card in the kit.
Emergency deactivation using the Override code (
AS IT REQUIRES YOU TO GET INTO THE CAR AND TURN THE IGNITION KEY).
To deactivate the alarm proceed as des-
cribed and illustrated, performing in se-
quence these steps (1, 2, 3, 4):
1) Turn the ignition key round to the ON posi-
tion (+15) and see that the LED turns on with
a fi xed light;
2) Turn the key back to the OFF position and
wait for a number of LED flashes to confirm
the first digit of the secret code, pressing
the key on the Push Button/LED.
ATTENTION: The flashes must correspond
to the first digit of the Override code (e.g. If
the first digit is 1 press the Push Button/LED
after the first flash).
3) After confirming the first digit, the LED
starts flashing again and to confirm the
second digit wait for the relative number of
LED flashes and confirm pressing the key on
the Push Button /LED.
4) Repeat this for the other three remaining
digits and when you confirm the fifth digit,
if the Override code entered is correct, the
alarm deactivates and confirmation is given
when the LED turns off and the alarm condi-
tion ends.
To render the system operational once again, activate and deactivate the alarm system by means of the original
radio remote control.
Some advice
- do not keep the service coupon with the emergency Override code on it inside the car;
- apply the window stickers supplied in the pack as a deterrent;
- take special care when washing the car engine. In such a case, protect the siren from direct splashes of water;
- installation and electrical connections must be done by a professional electrician/installer;
- if you have lost the emergency Override code, ask your dealer to programme a new one.
IF OPTIONAL ELECTRIC WINDOW MODULES ARE INSTALLED, READ THE FOLLOWING WARNING CAREFULLY.
If the vehicle is not fi tted with an automatic window lifting system, the driver must check, before activating the alarm,
that there are no children or objects near the windows to avoid all possibility of crushing when they are closing automa-
tically.
There is an accident hazard seeing as the window does not open automatically if it comes up against an obstacle
when it is closing. It will stop only if the obstacle exerts considerable force, opposing the upward movement of the
window.
THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE INEVITABLY TRIGGERS ALARMS
EXAMPLE OF ENTERING CODE 12321:
it is necessary to press the button immediately after a certain
number of fl ashes of the LED, equivalent to each single digit
of the OVERRIDE code.
