Fig.1
Supply power to the display by means of the ignition key, using the power supply cable provided (plug into
tractor socket).
If contact 15/54 (utilities) of the ignition key is able to withstand a continuous load of 3A, make the con-
nections shown in fig.2 .
Otherwise, fit a relay as shown in fig.1. Protect the line with a 3A fuse (fig.1-2). Use cables with gauge of
at least 1.5 mm
.

To avoid the risk of short circuits, do not connect the power supply cable before completing the
installation. Check that the voltage of the tractor battery is the same as that of the contreol panel
(12 ±10%Vdc).

Special precautions

The nominal operating voltage is 12V ±10% and is supplied by normal batteries installed on tractors;
!
they normally operate from 10V to 13.2V.
Voltages that stray from this range can cause problems and damage the electrical circuit.
Disconnect the supply voltage when taking apart or carrying out maintenance on units.
Do not connect the power cable to lighter plugs.
When the battery is dead or the alternator is worn, voltage peaks can occur which damage the electrical
circuit. Check the condition of the battery and the alternator often.
To prevent oxidation and incorrect contact with the connector terminals, coat them with silicone dielectric
grease.
The minimum gauge of the wires of the probe, must be 0.75 mm².
The minimum gauge of the power cable must be 2.5 mm².
