7 STORAGE AND WAREHOUSING
Storage and warehousing
If storing for a long period of time, protect the control unit from rain and wind and store in a dry place, if
possible.
In particular, protect the electrical parts from dust and external agents.
The device could be seriously damaged if it is stored under extreme temperatures. Do not expose the device
to temperatures below -10°C or above +60°C.
Disposal
The purchaser is responsible for following the correct procedure and current local regulations for disposing
of the consumable materials and materials deriving from scrapping.
Remember that waste means any substance or object that the owner decides to discard or must discard
(Legislative Decree no. 22 of 5 February 1997).
As per the decree above, waste is classified according to its origin as urban waste or special waste and,
depending on its dangerousness, as harmful waste or unharmful waste.
The waste deriving from this device's scrapping is classified as special waste.
ATTENTION: Mixing various categories of harmful waste and harmful waste with unharmful waste
!
is prohibited.
Scrapping materials
Special unharmful waste that can be recycled according to the Ministerial Decree of 5 February 1998:
- Ferrous, aluminum, stainless steel, copper materials
- Plastic materials
- Electronic cards
Guidelines for suitable treatment of waste
Ferrous materials:
Recyclable materials (secondary raw materials) that must be delivered to an authorized collection center.
Plastic materials:
Recycling where permitted.
Disposal in authorized collection center.
Incineration permitted in systems with post-combustion and dust control before emission into the atmo-
sphere.
Electrical system:
Disposal in authorized collection center.
ATTENTION: the crossed –out bin means that the electrical and
