Initial settings
When the machine is switched on, the 5-digit PIN
number is requested, which can be inserted using the
numeric keypad (attached image A8).
If machine users have not yet been defined, the default
present user (Administrator) can be used by entering
the PIN 22222.
The machine automatically identifies the gun currently
connected by displaying a message on the screen
(attached image A9).
Press on the
icon to access the initial machine
settings (attached image A10).
Press on the
icon and select the arm used (attached
image A11) and the electrode used (attached image
A12).
The display shows an image of the gun with the
selected arms and the electrodes.
To change the selected arm or electrodes, press the
or
icon to enter its respective selection menu.
At the end of the machine initialisation stages, the
calibration procedure must be performed and this is
indicated on the screen (attached image A13).
6.3
Calibration
The calibration procedure is used to check that the
gun is working properly and to analyse the welding
conditions.
The calibration procedure involves making a weld with
the electrodes in short-circuit (no sheet between the
electrodes).
To start the calibration procedure, press on the
icon.
The panel displays a reminder of the next operation to
be performed (attached image A14).
Press and hold the trigger on the gun to make a weld
without the sheets between the electrodes.
Release the trigger when the display shows a message
confirming that the calibration has been completed
successfully (attached image A15).
If the calibration procedure is unsuccessful, an error
message is displayed and the procedure must be
repeated.
The control system requires calibration to be
performed:
• whenever the arm and electrode settings are
changed,
• when the machine is switched on,
• after making 60 spots in any working mode,
• after dressing the electrodes,
• after the thermal circuit breaker has tripped
• when the welding gun is replaced.
The welding data is recorded during the calibration
process and will be saved in the weld log
When the calibration is completed, you can continue
with the work.
