2.5.8 Toxicity and irritation hazard
The machine coolant contains ethylene glycol.
Ethylene glycol is harmful if swallowed and in contact
with the eyes it can cause redness and irritation.
Take care when replacing the arms and electrodes.
2.5.9 Risk of machine overturning
Make sure the floor is level, smooth and free of
obstacles.
During handling, the presence of obstacles on the
floor can block the wheels and cause the machine to
overturn.
When using the pneumatic gun with a rod and
balancer, do not overload the balancer excessively.

Machine description
There spot welder 3680 It is a machine designed to
perform welding by means of a pneumatic gun.
The operator can choose from various modes of
operation on a touch screen operator panel.
The SMART + mode is able to recognize the type
of material and thickness and then determines the
optimal current and force for performing the welding.
The QUICK mode allows the user to set a reduced
selection of welding parameters.
The FULL mode allows the user to manually set all the
welding parameters and save them.
The machine is equipped with a USB connection to
export/import the saved welding parameters.
3.2
Intended use
The machine must only be used in industrial
environments in areas that are enclosed, ventilated,
dry and free from dust, vapours and acid fumes. The
workplace must have adequate lighting. Modifications
of any kind are prohibited, as these invalidate the CE
certification and the warranty.
3.3
Improper use
The machine must not be used for purposes other than
those described in the "Intended use" section.
In particular, it must not be used in domestic settings
or on low voltage public supply lines.
INSTALLATION
4
On receiving the machine, check the integrity of the
packaging and report any irregularities found to
TECNA s.p.a.
4.1
Transport and handling of the
packaged machine
The packaging should be lifted and moved using
means of sufficient capacity.
4.2
Storage
Ensure that the area where the packaging will be
stored meets the following requirements:
• Temperature: +5 /+40 °C;
• Maximum relative humidity 60%.
Values beyond those indicated above can compromise
the proper functioning of the machine.
4.3
Installation
Installation must be performed by persons familiar
with the safety guidelines and in accordance with the
instructions provided in this manual.
The machine is designed for use in industrial
environments and is classified as a class A resistance
welder.
CAUTION
Class A welding machines are not intended
for use on public low voltage lines that
supply domestic environments. This can
cause radio frequency interference.
The machine should be unloaded from the pallet as
described below:
• Remove the packaging
• Attach suitable lifting straps to the connection
points provided on the machine (attached image
A3)
• Lift the machine with a suitable lifting device and
place it on the floor.
