Instructions for Use
Marten-Free
Dear Client,
Congratulations for choosing one of our quality products. Please follow these instructions carefully and
keep them with you.
Functionality
The Marten-Free-Device generates an acoustic signal with a frequency of 12 kHz in intervals of each 15
seconds turn-on and turn-off time. This ultra high frequency is sensed by the martens as perturbing and
nasty, so that they flee from the corresponding vehicle.
Assembly
The Marten-Free-Device is fastened by means of the enclosed self-tapping screws or binders in the
engine compartment on the carriage. The connecting cable to the car battery must be passed in that
manner that it doesn't get in contact with movable or hot parts (e.g. ventilating wheel, exhaust manifold).
The device should be placed in the engine compartment in that manner that the acoustic noise can
constantly spread and is not absorbed by insulating mats.
ATTENTION: The assembly should be carried out by authorised specialised staff!
Electrical connection
Continuous working: The device is directly connected to the car battery. The black cable is connected
to the positive pole, the brown one to the negative pole. With this connection type the device works in
continuous operation. The electric power consumption is with continuous operation lower than the one of
a car quartz watch.
ATTENTION: With most cars the clamp "15" is automatically put from Positive to "Mass" when
switching off the engine. Should this clamp be not available in your vehicle or not
automatically be put to "Mass" after switching off the ignition, then connect the
grey cable directly to "Mess" (carriage).
Stop function: If additionally the grey cable is connected to clamp 15 (ignition lock, car radio) of the car
battery, the control automatically switches on the device, when the ignition is turned off and automatically
switches it off, when the ignition is switched on. This increases the durability of the device, as it is only
put into operation with the motor turned off.
NOTE: If your vehicle will not be used for a longer period of time, please be sure to disconnect
the device during this period.
General information
1. Electric appliances, packaging material etc. should be kept away from children.
2. Dispose packaging and worn out material correctly and in an environmentally friendly way.
3. Do only pass on the device including the operation manual.
4. Subject to change of design and technical data without notice for the sake of constant product
improvement.
General notes
When your car has already been visited by martens, most likely the animals left their marks for the
identification of their area. These odours must unconditionally be removed before the assembly of the
Marten-Free-Device, as other martens could possibly enter even to a bite protected engine
compartment. The best way to do so is by means of an efficient motor wash. Furthermore, the animals
leave their marks frequently under the vehicle, e.g. on the car park. It is therefore recommendable to
remove these traces with detergents and mop in order not to give any reasons to the marten to be forced
to defend its area.

- Only operate the device at its intended voltage.
- In case of repairs, only use original spare parts, to avoid serious damage.
- Check feed cables and conducting cables connected to the device for breaks or insulation defects. If
you find a defect, or there is visible damage do not use the device.
- Repairs or other works, e.g. changing a fuse, etc. may only be carried out by an appropriately trained,
skilled person.
- It must be noted that operator or connecting errors lie outside the influence of ISOTRONIC and we
cannot accept any liability for resulting damages.
- Always check whether the device is suitable for the respective place where you intend using it.
Guarantee
We grant a two year guarantee for this device. Guarantee includes repair of all defects that were not
caused by defective material or fabrication mistakes. Guarantee does not apply on wearing parts.
Since ISOTRONIC has no influence on correct and appropriate assemblage and operation it is obvious
that guarantee applies only on completeness and proper condition. ISOTRONIC takes on neither liability
nor guarantee for damages or consequential damages in connection with this product. This applies
especially when the device was altered or repaired, when circuits were changed or non-original spare
parts were used or when damage was caused by false or negligent operation or abuse.
