di prolungare la durata della garanzia. La garanzia non è valida in caso di: riparazione effettuata da personale
non autorizzato o con pezzi di ricambio non originali, avarie o vizi causati da negligenza, urti o uso improprio.

quali: sbalzi di tensione, campi elettromagnetici, interferenze radio, ecc.
La garanzia decade se non viene rispettato quanto sopra e se il numero di matricola (se presente) risulti
asportato, cancellato o alterato. I prodotti ritenuti difettosi devono essere resi solo e soltanto al rivenditore
presso il quale è avvenuto l'acquisto. Spedizioni inviate direttamente a GIMA verranno respinte.

FUNCTIONING
Before taking any measurement, make sure that the ear canal is clean, dry and not obstructed.
1) Pull off the probe cap (1). Do not force in removing the cap.
2) It is necessary to apply a disposable plastic cap (2) on the probe (3) by means of the apposite connection
ring (4):
- Place the plastic cap (2) on the connection ring (4) in conformity with the direction indicated in the picture;
- Push the ring on the probe until a click sounds;
- Once the cap has been fixed, delicately remove the connection ring (4).
Always make use of a new disposable plastic cap and make sure that it has not been damaged.
3) Press ON/MEM (6) pushbutton. When the ear icon stops flashing and the equipment beeps twice, the
thermometer is ready for use.
4) Gently pull the ear back to straighten the ear canal and snugly position the probe (3) in the ear canal,
aiming towards the membrane of the eardrum to obtain an accurate reading.
5) Measuring the ear temperature:
Hold the SCAN (5) pushbutton pressed with your forefinger until you hear a beep. At this point the LCD
display (7) shows the detected temperature.
6) Device will automatically power off if left idle for more than 60 seconds to extend battery life.

SWITCHING BETWEEN FAHRENHEIT AND CELSIUS

To change the unit of measurement of temperature from °C to °F, hold down the SCAN button (5), when the
unit is off, then press and hold the ON/MEM button (6) pressed until the display shows the symbol °F or °C.
Then release both buttons. Use the same process to change the unit of measurement again.

MEMORY FUNCTION

If the reading thermometer is within the normal temperature range (34°C ~ 42.2°C or 93.2°F ~ 108°F), the
data is saved into memory each time the thermometer is turned off.
Press the ON/MEM button (6) when the thermometer is turned on to see the temperature stored.
