PROBLEM
Constant clutch drive
The electric tool body becomes
too hot.
Note: It is common for elec-
tro-pneumatic hammers to
heat during operation and it is
a normal condition. Only for ex-
cessive heating should be called
due attention.
Sparks are seen through the air
intakes
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Bad drilling strategy.
Tool lost the sharpening.
Excessive pressure on the tool.
Clutch worn.
Machine in overload.
Lack of ventilation.
Rolling bearings damaged or end
of life.
Power supply voltage drop.
Normal movement of the carbon
brushes with the induced.
SOLUTION
Use the appropriate drill/tool for each
type of material.
Follow a progressive sequence of drill
diametres for large diametre drill
holes.
Change tool and/or prioritize quality
tools (see page 71).
Impose less pressure on the tool.
Use cutting oil when applicable and
drill/tool suitable for the material.
The diametre of the drill/tool and/or
the material to be drilled requires a
more powerful machine.
Review how to use this power tool
and contact the PECOL Technical
Assistance Service to arrange repair.
Decrease working pressure. Run the
machine unladen for 2 to 3 minutes to
cool the engine.
Unclog the air passages.
Refer to PECOL Technical Service for
replacement.
Check mains voltage and extension.
The presence of small sparks in the
brush area is normal and should
only be referred to the Technical
Assistance Service if large.
