Operation and maintenance
Check that the voltage of the appliance corresponds to the mains voltage of your home. This
appliance is fitted with an earth for extra safety . Remove all packaging from the iron, including
any protective covering on the soleplate (which cannot be reused).
The Pro Steam Generator should be placed on the ironing board, and always rest the iron on
the Iron Rest when not ironing.
Your new Pro Steam Generator is an attended appliance, and as such should not be left
operating unattended. Always rest the iron on the Iron Rest provided for your safety and
convenience.
FILLING YOUR PRO STEAM GENERATOR IRON
Make sure the device is off and on a stable, flat surface, remove the water tank from the base
by pulling it from the front, fill the reservoir with clean cold tap water until the maximum water
level mark.
Your iron has been designed to operate using untreated tap water. Types of water not to use:
Heat concentrates the elements contained in water during evaporation. The types of water
listed below may contain organic water, mineral or chemical elements that can cause spitting,
brown staining or premature wear of the appliance: water from clothes dryers, scented or
softened water, water from refrigerators, batteries, air conditioners, rain water, boiled, filtered
or bottled water.
Note that you do not add more water. Never add other liquids to the water! The cable between
the steam iron and the base may be hot, this is normal. The jet of the exhaust steam is very
powerful, so make sure you do not focus on people, pets or delicate items.

BEFORE FIRST USE

The first time the appliance is used, there may be some fumes and smell but this is not
harmful. They will not affect use and will disappear rapidly. Please make sure you let the
appliance steam for about 1 minute before the first use. So some manufacturing rests can go
out.
During the first use or when you have not used the item for a long period it is possible that the
appliance needs some time to steam. Please keep the knob pressed. It can takes about 30
seconds and it could be it makes some noise.
USING YOUR PRO STEAM GENERATOR
Insert the plug into the wallsocket and hold the left button a few seconds, you hear a soft tone
and the display lights up like the following image, the standby symbol flashes and the device
starts with the warming. When the standby symbol disappears and you hear a soft signal the
system is ready for use.
