PROXXON DIVIDING APPARATUS no. 24131

General:
With the dividing apparatus no. 24131, you have the possibility of manufa-
cturing many different pitches. A 48 and 40 toothed lock washer are delive-
red as standard with the dividing apparatus.
They allow the following pitches:
40 toothed lock washer:
2, 4, 5, 8, 10, 20, 40
48 toothed lock washer:
2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 24, 48
Toothed lock washers with pitches of 30 and 36 are supplied by the PROX-
XON central service (address on the reverse of the instructions). When chan-
ging the washer, first set the scale 1 (fig. 1) to zero and clamp the flange with
the screw 2.
Securing the dividing apparatus:
The dividing apparatus can either be secured in a standing position (see fig.
1) on the prism of the lathe or in a horizontal position on the face chuck of
the lathe or a milling table.
If the dividing apparatus is secured in a standing position, it is clamped to
the lathe bed with the Allen screw accessible from the rear, and the clamp
plate.
The dividing apparatus can also be clamped with the Allen screw on the long
side and a square nut.
For securing in a horizontal position, two Allen screws are accessible from
the top, by which the dividing apparatus can be secured using square nuts
that are inserted into the slots on the milling table.
Chuck:
The reception flange of the dividing apparatus is the same as the one for the
PD 230/E lathe or the one on the previous model PD 210. So 3- and 4-jaw
chucks for the lathe can also be used here.
