Operation:
In order to generate the required pitch, loosen the screw 2 (fig. 1) and rotate
the flange in the desired direction. The 48 gearwheel engages a total of 48
times per rotation. In order to create a 4 pitch, for example, rotate the flange
12 teeth further each time. A total of 48 teeth divided by 4 makes 12. After 4
x 12 teeth, all 48 have been "passed" and a whole circle has been comple-
ted.
Calculate in the same way, for example, if you require an 8 pitch: 48 teeth
in total, divided by 8 makes 6. This means that between each machining ope-
ration of the flange, 6 teeth must be turned. After a total of 8 steps (8 steps
x 6 teeth makes 48 teeth), one rotation has been completed.
If the flange cannot be turned, pull a little on pin 3. Once you have set the
required pitch, it is essential that you retighten screw 2. For each machining
that follows setting, the flange must be clamped with screw 2.
