Make sure the iron is unplugged and that the thermostat dial is in the MIN
positi on. Piace the iron on the heel rest, tilting it forward to a 45° angle,
approximately, and pour water in through the water-filling opening, up to the
MAX position on the water reservoir.
DRY LRONING:
Set the steam selector to the "O" position (no steam).
Set the correct ironing temperature as specified on the washing label of the
item to be ironed.
STEAM LRONING:
•
Fill the iron with water as described in these instructions.
•
Plug the appliance into the mains socket.
•
lt is necessary to set the thermostat knob to MAX position for steam
ironing. Otherwise, water may leak from the sole plate.
•
When the indicator light goes off, the correct temperature has been
reached.
•
Set the steam selector appropriately. You can increase steam output by
pushing the steam selector backwards, and decrease output by pushing
the selector forwards.
•
Caution: You cannot use steam ironing with synthetic fabric, nylon,
synthetic silk and silk. lf you do so, it will damage the finish of the surface.
STEAM BURST:
•
This function works well on tough wrinkles and heavy fabrics. Press the
Burst button to produce an intense burst of steam from the sole plate.
This can be very useful for removing stubborn creases. The steam
burst function can be used only when ironing at high temperature. To
prevent water leakage from the sole plate, do not press the Burst button
continuously for more than 5 seconds, and allow at least one minute
interval before applying the steam burst to the same area.
VERTICAL STEAM:
•
A steam burst can also be produced when the creases from hanging
clothes, curtains, etc. iron is held in the vertical position. This is useful for
