Five-core cable (option)
Some of the cooling units (see circuit diagram in supplement) are provided with an
additional signal/door contact cable which is used for wiring a floating contact that
opens whenever certain faults occur (e.g. excessive pressure in the cooling system,
power failure, cable breakage in the fault signal line). Contact rating = max. 5 A.
CAUTION: Wrong sense of rotation will cause damage to the cooling unit.
In case of three-phase units, check the sense of rotation of the motor after installation. The
sense of rotation must be clockwise.
•
Voltage must be within ± 10 % of the value indicated.
•
Frequency must be within ± 3 Hz of the value indicated.
•
Ambient temperature must be below 55 °C.
•
Use the unit such that the cooling capacity suits the actual demand.
•
After a standstill (e.g. in case of power failure) wait for at least 3 minutes before restar-
ting the unit.
•
Use refrigerant as indicated only.
•
Use genuine spare parts only.
•
Before starting the cooling unit ensure that the minimum temperature +15 °C has been
reached.
•
Ambient conditions and temperature in the switch cabinet must be in accordance with
the values indicated in the supplement.
•
The thermostat is factory-set to +35 °C. This setting may only be changed according to
the limiting values for temperatures in the switch cabinet as mentioned in the supple-
ment, otherwise warranty will become null and void.
CAUTION: Heat dissipation at condenser not sufficient.
The cooling unit may only be operated with cover, otherwise heat dissipation at the con-
denser is not sufficient, and the cooling unit may be damaged.
The evaporator fan starts turning as soon as operating voltage is applied. When the ther-
mostat starts the cooling process, the fan of the condenser starts operation, too.
•
After Start-up – and during operation – check whether condensate is properly drained.
Hazard!
Before starting cleaning and maintenance work de-energize the cooling unit and connect
the relevant component to earth. If the work to be carried out on the cooling unit requires
voltage another person must be present to actuate the main switch.
The cleaning intervals depend upon the relevant operating conditions. In particular ob-
serve the following instructions.
•
Clean the condenser regularly.
•
Clean the condenser using a soft brush or pressurized air.
