3. To replace the clear/smoked dome cover, see page 17. To install an SD card see page 17.
4. Put the top cover back in its original position and fasten two diagonally opposite screws
first (torque < 0.7 Nm), and then the two other screws.

Replace the Dome Cover

Note
Be careful not to scratch or damage the dome cover. If possible, keep the protective plastic
on the dome cover until the installation is complete.
Replacing the dome cover is only necessary if you want to use the smoked dome cover or if the
dome cover is scratched or damaged. Spare dome covers can be purchased from your Axis reseller.
See Hardware Overview on page 9 for location of components.
1. Loosen the top cover screws and remove the top cover.
2. Remove the 8 dome ring screws and remove the dome ring from the top cover.
3. Attach the dome ring and the replacement dome cover to the top cover and secure by
tightening the screws (torque 0.4 to 0.6 Nm).
4. To install an SD card (not included), see page 17.
5. Put the top cover back in its original position and fasten diagonally two opposite screws
(torque < 0.7 Nm), and then the other screws.

Install an SD Card

To prevent corruption of recordings, the SD card should be unmounted before it is ejected.
To unmount, go to Setup > System Options > Storage > SD Card and click Unmount.
