9. MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
•
The winch should be operated at least once a month.
•
Unwind the wire rope 50ft, the other 15 and roll it back.
•
Replace remote control batteries every 12 months or when exhausted (Control Optional).
•
Keep a protective cover in place when not in use.
•
With a normal use you do not need greasing for the life of the winch, if the Winch has a severe use Lubricate all moving parts with grease
at least once a year.
•
Clean your winch after use, use only low pressure water and a brush to rinse off any dirt. Once dry you can use a light spray oil to coat the
winch and wire rope before installing the winch cover.
Check
Read this User's Manual, in order to
understand your winch and its operation.
Check fasteners and make sure they are tight and to proper
torque. Replace damaged fasteners.
Verify wiring to all components is correct and be certain that
all connections are tight.
Verify there es no exposed/bare wiring or terminals. Cover exposures
with terminal boots, head shrink tubing or electrical tape.
Inspect the wire rope for damage.
Replace it inmmediately if damaged.
Keep winch, rope and switch control free from contaminants,
Use a clean rag or towel to remove any dirt and debris.
