• When the track search operation is completed after pressing the SKIP button, the player automatically finds
the position at which the sound starts and cues there.
• If the CUE button is pressed after the search operation or the scanning operation, the player returns to the
cue point and enters the pause mode.
• Following figure shows the relation between the playing and the cue operation.
1. The player has completed the cue or pause operation and is waiting for the play start command.
2. When pressing PLAY/PAUSE, playing starts and the cue point is stored in the memory.
3. Playing.
4. Pause mode is set when PLAY/PAUSE is pressed again.
5. Pausing.
6. Playing resumes and the new cue point is stored in the memory when PLAY/PAUSE is pressed again.
7. Playing.
8. Press the CUE button.
9. The player returns to the cue point.
REMARK: When holding the CUE button pressed in the cue mode, playing will start from the cue point.
Releasing the button will make the player return to the cue mode. This allows you to check the cue
point.
h. Frame Search
This function allows you to monitor the sound at a certain section of the CD and manually change this position.
The frame search lets you set start points with great precision.
• In pause or cue mode, turn the FRAME SEARCH wheel to the left or to the right to start searching. The
point at which the sound starts is indicated on the LCD.
• If the time display and the CUE point are the same, the CUE indicator will light.
i. Scanning
This function allows you to move quickly forward or backward. This unit supports 7 different speeds depending
on how long you hold the SCAN button.
• Press the FORWARDS or the BACKWARDS SCAN button to scan. The CD moves rapidly forwards or
backwards. The current point is indicated on the LCD. Release the button to return to normal playing
speed.
j. Time Display
• Press the TIME button to select the time display mode.
1. Elapsed time of a track.
2. Remaining time of a track.
3. Total remaining time.
