5.2.7 Receiving encrypted programmes
Your TV set is equipped with a "Common Interface" to accommodate the use of a CI mod-
ule. This allows you to view encrypted programmes. To do this, you must first insert a CI
module with a valid smart card into the appropriate slot.
>
Insert the smart card into the card slot of the CI module. Before doing so, make
sure that the gold chip on the smart card is located on the top of the module in the
direction in which the card is inserted.
>
Insert the CI module into the slot. Make sure that the top of the module is facing
the LCD panel.
If you now select an encrypted programme, your television will automatically check the CI
slot and display the programme in unencrypted form, provided the appropriate CI module,
including a valid smart card, for this programme is inserted in the slot.
