2.2 Intended purpose
Together with the compressor being used, the
®
INQUA
nebuliser forms an inhalation device for treatment of
the upper and lower respiratory tracts with nebulised medication.
1)
It is suitable for temporary
oral or nasal inhalation. It may be
used to inhale all medications that have been authorised for use
in inhalation therapy or prescribed or recommended by a doctor.
Always read the notes (restrictions, frequency of application) in
the accompanying information for the medication to be inhaled,
and ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions.
2.3 Correct use
®
The INQUA
nebuliser generates a moist-cool aerosol that can-
not be heated up. The nebuliser must only be used for inhalation
treatment. It must not be used in conjunction with anaesthesia
breathing systems or in the breathing system of respirators.
®
The INQUA
nebuliser is intended exclusively for use in the
®
home and together with the INQUA
compressor. For reasons
of hygiene, it must only be used by one person.
The nebuliser is only designed for patients who are able to
breathe by themselves and are conscious. This is the only way
to ensure effective treatment and avoid a choking hazard.
1) Each application lasts less than 1 hour according to the European
Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC, in this case max. 20 minutes.
