physical condition.
• use the blocfor™ automatic fall arrester if you are pregnant.
• use the blocfor™ automatic fall arrester if the safety function of
any of the associated items is affected by the safety function of
another item or may interfere with it.
• use the blocfor™ automatic fall arrester if the wire rope or strap
may come into contact with sharp edges (figure 2.b) .
• use the blocfor™ automatic fall arrester if the fall indicator on
the M46 connector is activated (figure 2.d) .
• release the blocfor™ automatic fall arrester lanyard if it not is
entirely wound in (figure 2.a) .
• use the blocfor™ AES automatic fall arrester horizontally
without fitting the strap lanyard for use on a terrace between
the fall arrester connector and the userʼs fall arrest harness
where wire rope and synthetic rope devices are used.
• use the blocfor™ automatic fall arrester to secure a materials
load.
• secure the blocfor™ automatic fall arrester to a structural
anchor point with a strength less than 10 kN, or which may be
assumed as such.
• use the blocfor™ automatic fall arrester for vertical angles
exceeding 20°.
• use the blocfor™ automatic fall arrester lanyard as a means of
slinging.
• interfere with the alignment of the blocfor™ automatic fall
arrester with respect to the lanyard.

automatic fall arrester without first having been trained and
qualified, in writing, by TRACTEL
• use the blocfor™ automatic fall arrester if it is not complete, or
if it has been disassembled beforehand or if any components
have been replaced.
• Use the blocfor™ automatic fall arrester in a horizontal
configuration if the radius of the edge is less than 0.5 mm or if
there are any signs of burrs.
• Use the blocfor™ automatic fall arrester in a horizontal
configuration if the anchor point is located below the edge.

configuration if the anchor point is located less than 3 m from
the edge.

Installation
Insofar as possible, the structural anchorage point should be
located above the user. The anchorage point must have a
minimum strength of 10 kN.
The connection to the anchoring point or to the structure must
be done using an EN 362 connector.
For connecting the fall arrester system to the anti-fall harness,
please refer to the instructions manual provided with the
harness to be sure to use the correct hook and attaching
method.
CAUTION
Before and during use, it is necessary to plan out how
possible rescue can be efficiently and safely conducted,
within less than 15 minutes. Beyond such time, the person's
life is in danger.

Maintenance and storage
If your blocfor™ automatic fall arrester is dirty, it can be washed
with clear, cold water using a mild detergent for fabrics, and a
synthetic brush.
If during use or when washing, the blocfor™ automatic fall
arrester becomes wet, allow it to dry naturally in a shaded
location away from any source of heat.
During transport and storage, protect the equipment in a
moisture-free package against any danger (sharp edges, source
of direct heat, chemical products, UV radiation, etc.).
