1. General information

Please read this operating manual carefully before working with Ants LES01, securing or commissio-
ning your safe encoder. This operating manual instructs the technical personal of the machine manu-
facturer or machine operator in the safe assembly, electrical installation, commissioning and operation
of the Ants LES01. Moreover, the planning and use of safe sensors in the complete elevator system
requires further technical knowledge that is not provided in this document.
In addition, official and statutory requirements must be observed for operation of the Ants LES01.

1.1 Target group

The Ants LES01 may only be assembled, commissioned, tested, maintained and used by capable
persons. Capable persons
• have suitable technical training and
• were instructed in operation by the machine owner and
• were instructed in the valid safety guidelines and
• have access to this operating manual
• the technical personal require knowledge about the ignition protection type for electrical equipment
for explosion-prone areas
