G
STARTING
G1
Preliminary checks, adjustments and
operational tests
G1.1
Electrical and plumbing checks
Before starting the machine, it is necessary to:
• Check the correct connection of the electrical wires
powering the machine;
• Make sure the mains voltage and frequency match the
data given in Table 2;
• Check the connection of the water supply and drain
pipes (par. "E7 Water connection").
• Make sure all the guards, safety devices and emergency
switches are in place and efficient.
G1.2
Component positioning check
Check the correct positioning of the hood grease trays
and labyrinth filters in Zone A (par. B.2.1).
The left tray is specially designed to prevent covering
the cap used for adding oven scale remover.
The filters must be properly positioned inside the filter
holder so that they do not drop.
G2
Starting
• Open the water filling cock;
• Turn on the oven on which the hood is installed. The
hood remains on standby until the oven is turned on.
• Select the desired odour abatement cycle according
to the required cooking, otherwise the hood retains in
its memory the last selection made.
H
GENERAL SAFETY RULES
H1
Introduction
The machines are provided with electrical and/or
mechanical safety devices for protecting workers and
the machine itself. Therefore the operator must not
remove or tamper with such devices.
The Manufacturer declines any liability for damage due
to tampering or their non-use.
This appliance is not intended for use by people
(including children) with limited physical, sensory or
mental abilities or without experience and knowledge of
it, unless they are supervised or instructed in its use by
a person responsible for their safety.
H1.1
Protection devices installed on the
machine
H1.1.1 Guards
The guards on the machine are:
• Manually removable guard consisting of a
grille placed on the side of the suction fan;
• Interlocked movable guards (front filters) for accessing
the compartment inside the machine;
• Access doors to the machine's electrical equipment,
made from hinged panels openable with tools. The door
must not be opened during movement of the machine,
if there is equipment inside that is dangerous when
live, under pressure or moving.
ATTENTION!
Several illustrations in the manual
show the machine, or parts of it, without
guards or with guards removed. This is
purely for explanatory purposes. Do not
use the machine without the guards or
with the protection devices deactivated.
H1.1.2 Safety devices
The machine is fitted with:
• Suction fan removable protection grilles.

ATTENTION!
Do not remove, tamper with or make the
labels on the machine illegible.
The first two labels referred to above are placed inside
Zone A, on the front wall near the suction fan intake and
the odour catalytic converter.
The third label is placed inside the compartment
containing the electrical control panel, located in
Zone D.
H2
Ceased use
When the machine is no longer to be used, make it
unusable by removing the power supply wiring and/or
the water connections.
H3
Instructions for use and maintenance
Risks mainly of a mechanical, thermal and electrical
nature exist in the machine.
Where possible the risks have been neutralised:
• Directly, by means of adequate design solutions;
• Indirectly by using guards, protection and safety
devices;
During maintenance several risks remain, as these
could not be eliminated, and must be neutralised by
adopting specific measures and precautions.
