Introduction to Soundcast VG10
Congratulations on your ownership of the Soundcast
VG10 premium wireless speaker. The VG10 is a
powerful portable speaker that supports a wide array
of wireless technologies including; Bluetooth, DTS
Play-Fi and Apple AirPlay. This user guide is designed
to accompany the VG10/10 general operation guide
and will focus strictly on the Wi-Fi networking and DTS
Play-Fi and AirPlay capabilities.
Using DTS Play-Fi with your VG10
Your VG10 speaker(s) will automatically switch to the
streaming input if it detects that a new Play-Fi connec-
tion has been established with the speaker. You can
resume Bluetooth operation by pairing or re-connect-
ing your Bluetooth device at any time.
Using the DTS Play-Fi App for Playback
1. Launch the Play-Fi app on your mobile device
or PC (from the Windows system tray)
2. Android™ and iOS Device Users: Select your
music source from within the Play-Fi app. Options
include music from your personal music library,
Internet Radio, or from supported internet
music services.
3. PC Users: Any audio content from your computer
can be streamed using Play-Fi. If you have more than
one DTS Play-Fi speaker connected to your network,
you will be prompted to select the speaker to
stream to.
➤ DTS may update Play-Fi app functionality from
time to time.
Controlling more than one speaker
If you have more than one Play-Fi speaker connected
to your network, you can simultaneously stream the
same audio to multiple speakers.
1. iOS and Android Device Users: From
the Play-Fi app,
press the Play-Fi logo in the lower corner of the app
2. PC Users: open the Play-Fi program using the icon
in your Windows™ system tray and follow the DTS
instructions for use
3. PC Users Note: The free version of the Windows
Play-Fi app may not support streaming to multiple
speakers. Play-Fi HD for Windows is available for
purchase on the DTS website and supports multiple
speakers and more control over which Windows
audio source is being streamed. Visit https://play-fi
.com/apps/windows/
➤ Up to (8) Play-Fi speakers can be synchronized to
play the same audio content at the same time. We
do NOT recommend using more than 32 Play-Fi
speakers on the same network for best performance.
Real-world limits are based on your environment and
network router.
Other DTS Play-Fi Features
New versions of the Play-Fi app will add features not
mentioned in this manual. Please refer to the app
and related documentation for details on new and
enhanced features such as streaming different audio
content to multiple zones and grouping of two discrete
speakers for stereo (left/right) playback.

Your VG10 speaker(s) will automatically switch to the
