OPERATION (141 M)

The "M" motor-mowers are equipped with a
steering clutch assembled on axle-shafts and
connected to the wheel brakes.
By pulling the clutch/brake control levers (Fig.
8/A n. 4 and n. 5), the motor-mower will turn
left or right. By pulling the aid lever (Fig. 8/A
n. 12), the motor-mower will stop.
The latter acts as a parking brake as well.

ADJUSTMENT (141 M)

The "M" series motor-mower is equipped with
two adjusters for the adjustment of clutches
placed on axle-shafts and brakes.
The first adjuster A of Fig. 8/A is mounted on
the wire that reaches the clutch/brake control
levers (Fig. 8/A n. 4 and n. 5) and must be
used only for adjusting the right and left
steering clutches.
These levers must have an idle stroke of
approx. 2÷3 mm.

The second adjuster B of Fig. 8/B is mounted
near to the lever that activates the brake and
is needed to adjust brakes.
In order to perform adjustments, do as follows:
1) Loosen adjuster (B) of the right brake (fig.
8/B) which is close to the wheel.
2) Work on adjuster of clutch A (fig. 8/A) of
the right control lever (fig. 8/A n. 5), until the
lever reaches a clearance of approx. 2÷3 mm.
3) Pull the clutch lever (fig. 8/A n. 5) and check
that the right wheel turns idly.
4) Work on adjuster B (Fig. 8/B) in order to
adjust braking.
Repeat the same instructions for left wheel.
VERY IMPORTANT: never use adjuster A,
mounted on the wire that reaches the
brake/clutch control levers 4 and 5 of Fig.
8/A, to adjust the brakes. This would cau-
se bad damage to the steering clutches.
