Print-Server Installation in
Windows 98SE/Me/NT
This All-In-One Print Server supports TCP/IP network protocol and
IPP, RAW, and LPR printing protocols, it can be a standard print
server when you operate it in Windows 98SE, Me, NT, 2000, XP, or
2003; UNIX /Linux; and Mac OS. The IPP and RAW printing protocols
can be used in Windows 2000, XP, or 2003. The LPR printing protocol
can be used in Windows 98SE, Me, NT, 2000, XP, or 2003; UNIX /
Linux; and Mac OS. For the LPR, RAW, and IPP settings in Windows
2000, XP, or 2003, refer to the "LPR Printing", "RAW Printing", and
"IPP Printing" chapters.
This chapter shows you how to install the Print Server in Windows
98SE, Me, or NT.
Before you start, you should have:
a.
One computer with Windows 98SE, Me, or NT
b.
A TCP/IP network protocol installed on your computer
Software-Installation Procedure
The installation steps in Windows 98SE follow. To install the Print
Server in Windows Me or NT, the procedure is similar.
1.
Insert the CD shipped with the Print Server into your
CD-ROM drive. The autorun.exe program should
be executed automatically. If not, run autorun.exe
manually from your CD-ROM drive's root directory.
2.
The Installation Manager will appear as follows.
Click "All-In-One Print Server Installation".
