5.4.3 Cleaning and storage
• Clean the unit and any accessories before storage.
• Dry the unit if it was used in wet conditions. Apply a thin coat of preservative oil to the external steel
parts.
• Store the unit in a dry and well-ventilated area.
6 Troubleshooting
6.1 General
Consult the Holmatro dealer if the listed solutions do not give the desired result, or in case of other
problems. For malfunctions or repair, always specify the model and serial number of the equipment.

Cutting is poor / blades do not move

The blades are damaged.
The tightening torque of the centre bolt is
incorrect.
The position of the direction valve is incorrect.

The blades make a noise when moving

The blades have insufficient greasing.
7 Maintenance
7.1 General
Proper preventive maintenance of the equipment preserves the operational safety and extends the life
of the equipment. For malfunctions or repair, always specify the model and serial number of the
equipment.

Wear the prescribed personal protection equipment.

Solution
Sharpen or file the cutting edge of the blades in
the correct shape.
Tighten the bolt to 50 Nm.
Rotate the control ring (fig. 2, item 9) in the
correct position.
Solution
Have the blades greased by a Holmatro Certified
Technician.
