4.1 Adjustment of stance phase

Attention!
When tilting the knee joint into more anterior direction, the
stance stability is reduced. Tilting into more posterior direction
increases the stance stability. These adjustments are not recom-
mended, because they lead to incorrect weight load on the joint
chain and to premature wear!

To adjust the desired standing stability,
fi rst loosen the proximal locking screw of
the connector with a 6 mm allen wrench.
Then you can move the pyramid or the
M36 thread into anterior direction to
increase the standing stability; and into
posterior direction to achieve a more
dynamic setting. For the subsequent
tightening of the locking screw, carefully
secure the joint at the joint head by
means of a felt-protected vise clamp.
Tighten the locking screw with the
calibrated torque wrench 173P11 at
30 Nm.
Attention!
Furthermore, care must be
taken that the proximal
pyramid ends fl ush with
the top part*. Wrong
connection of the pyramid
may lead to premature
material wear and to failure
of the prosthesis!
