8.1. SERVICE
1.
Regulators should be regularly inspected for signs of mechanical damage
or leakage. If incorrect function or leakage is suspected, the regulator
should be immediately returned to the manufacture for service exchange
or replacement.

Pressure regulators are delicate precision instruments and no at tempt

should be made to remove or exchange components from them.
3. Washers should be carefully examined to ensure they are undamaged and
have not gone brittle or sticky. Only original manufactures' washers must
be used. Regulators should be removed from service and fully leak tested
annually, and returned for service exchange after a maximum of six years
service. When used in rugged and severe conditions these times should
be reduced.
4.
Oil or grease must never be allowed in contact with the regulator, or cylinder
valve, or with any accessories used with the equipment.
5.
PTFE tape must not be used on this regulator.
8.2. LIFE TIME
Maximum life time of the product is 10 years.
At the end of the product's life time, the product must be withdrawn from service.
The owner shall put in place a relevant procedure to ensure the product cannot be
used again.
8.3. REPAIRS
Repairs activities cover the replacement of the following damaged or missing
components:

Inlet stem,
•
Indicator,
The repairs shall be carried out by a GCE authorised person only.
Any product sent back to a GCE authorised person for maintenance shall be
properly packaged. The purpose of the maintenance has to be clearly specified
(repair, overall maintenance). For product to be repaired a short description of
fault and any reference to a claim number might be helpful.
Some repair activities concerning to the replacement of the damaged or
missing components can be carried out by the owner of the product. The
following parts can be replaced only:
•
Caps,
•
Hose nipple (including o-ring)
•
O-ring for inlet stem
All labels on the equipment must be kept in good, legible condition by the
owner and the user during the entire product life time.
All seals and o-rings must be kept in dry, dark and clean environment by
the owner and the user during the entire product life time.
