1. Installation
1. Mount the CO
sensor on the wall near the CO
2
source, with a minimum distance of 50 cm. It is
preferred not to place the sensor directly above the
CO
source if it becomes very hot (CO
2
You should mount the sensor at a height of +/- 1
meter above the floor.
2. Do not place the sensor in the direct airflow of fans
as this may affect the measurements.
3. Also mount the TechGrow T-1 Pro to the wall with
the supplied mounting kit.
4. Connect the sensor(s) to the right side of the T-1 Pro
with the supplied (UTP) cable(s).
5. Plug the CO
source to the T-1 Pro.
2
6. Plug the plug of the T-1 Pro into a 230V socket.
7. Ready!
2. Connecting controllers and sensor
Most controllers and sensors (except the Temp Probe) of
the TechGrow Pro Series can be interconnected in order
to guarantee an optimal climate.
Make sure that the controller is switched off before
connecting the sensor(s) to prevent possible
malfunctions. The sensor can be plugged into any UTP
port.
It is possible to interconnect the controllers, so that you
can control your entire room climate with just one S-4
sensor. Make sure that all controllers are supplied with
mains voltage to prevent possible malfunctions.
Since the T-1 Pro has 3 UTP ports, you can also connect
a datalogger (DL-1), for example.
3. Which sensors can be connected to
the T-1 Pro?
The minimum sensor required is a S-2
Sensor. If temperature and relative humidity values need
to be displayed as well, you can extend the S-2 Sensor
with a Temp / RH Sensor or replace the S-2 with an S-4
Sensor. The S-4 measures CO
humidity, and detects light simultaneously.
4. Connecting extra sensors or other
devices
The T-1 Pro can measure and display the actual values
and register the minimum/maximum values of
connected CO
, humidity, and temperature sensors.

However, the T-1 Pro "only" controls CO

T-1 Pro, first switch off the controller, wait a few
seconds and then connect the sensor. Plug the
controller back into the outlet.
ATTENTION: NEVER connect two of the same
type of sensors to your controller!! For example: a S-
4 Sensor can never be connected simultaneously
with a Temp/RH.
5. Automatic functions of the T-1 Pro
1. The backlight of the display will turn off
automatically after 60 seconds of no activity. Only
when the Push & Turn Knob (PTK) is pushed or
turned, the backlight will go on again.
2. No CO
is released when it is dark. Therefore, make
2
sure that the sensor can detect the light source
directly.
3. If the CO
sensor is not detected, no CO

7. Operation of the T-1 Pro
If the CO
value in the room drops under the set value
2
(setpoint - hysteresis), the CO
Over time, the CO
value rises and as it reaches the CO
2
setpoint, the source is switched off. The LED lights up
green when the CO
value lies between (setpoint -
2
hysteresis) and (setpoint + hysteresis).
Example
The CO
setpoint is 670 ppm.
2
The CO
hysteresis is 40 ppm.
2
The current CO
value in the room is 733 ppm: that is
2
higher than the CO
setpoint, so the CO
2
off. The red lights are off.
The CO
level now slowly decreases to 670 ppm: there is
2
no action yet. Only when the value drops below the CO
setpoint minus the CO
hysteresis, that is below 670 - 40
2
= 630 ppm, the CO
source switches on and the red lights
2
come on.
Now, the CO
level rises and when the setpoint (670 ppm)
2
is reached, the CO
source is switched off again and the

red lights go off.
