Start up
Cut wood sheets
When cutting most wood sheets or very thin wood use a
blade with fine teeth. Reduce splinters in the edges. Clamp
scrap pieces of wood onto both faces of the work piece
and start cutting.
CAUTION
Do not use the balancing action when
cutting much closed circles or angles.

Maintenance

WARNING
Disconnect the tool from the power
source before making adjustments, service o maintenance.
Cleaning and care
• Keep the tool free of dust. Never use water or chemical
cleaning solutions. Clean the tool only with a clean and dry
cloth.
• Keep the ventilation slots clean and free of debris to
guarantee the right cooling of the motor.
• Inspect the mounting screws regularly. Verify the screws
are properly tightened. In case a screw is loose tighten
immediately.
• The casing and the motor are the power tool core. Be
very careful not to affect them with oil or water.
• Check the feeding cable regularly to look for any
damages. In case the cable is damaged change it in a
Authorized Service Center.
Service
Service to the tool shall only be performed in a
Authorized Service Center. Service
and maintenance performed by non-qualified people may
result dangerous and can cause personal injury and make
the warranty void.
Scrap

Straight cut
To get much defined straight cuts use the parallel guide
supplied with the tool. Support the guide to the work piece
edge.
Straight cuts can also get a fine finish by cutting slowly over
a line previously marked.
Circular cut
Circular cuts can also get a fine finish if cutting slowly over
a line previously marked similar to the straight cut. With a
circular guide (not included) the Jig saw can make perfect
circular cuts.
Carbon brush replacement
• Checked periodically the carbon brushes when worn.
Replace only at a
Center.
• After replacing the carbons ask the technician to
double-check the new carbon brushes can move freely in
the carbon housing. Ask to have the tool turned on and
keep it running 5 minutes to make even the contact of
carbons and commuter.
• Use only original
brushes, designed specifically with the right strength and
electric resistance for each type of motor. Carbon brushes
with different specifications may damage the motor.
• When replacing carbon brushes both carbons should be
replaced simultaneously.
Lubrication
Regularly apply a drop of lubricant to the roller guide for a
proper sliding of blade while cutting.
