NSTALLATION AND
Definitions
CUSTOMER
The Customer is the person, activity or the society, that has bought or hired the unit, and intends to utilise
the machinery for its intended use.
USER / OPERATOR – The User or Operator is the actual person that has been authorised by the Customer to utilise the
unit.
QUALIFIED PERSONNEL - Defined as the person who has followed a relevant specific course of study, and so is able to
understand the dangers derived from the use of the machinery, and in turn, due to this, are capable of solving major
dilemmas.

Safety rules

The Supplier is not responsible of failure to comply with safety and prevention regulations as below reported;
moreover, he is not responsible of damage due to improper use of the unit or changes on the unit done without
authorization.
Installation shall be carried out by qualified personnel.
While installing, wear accident prevention clothing.
While installing, make operations safely, in a clean and clear room.
Comply with the laws in force in the Country where unit is to be installed, maintained and disposed.
Before starting the unit check if it and the connected ductwork are wholly intact.
Don't touch moving or rotating parts. Keep far from them.
N.B. The installer and the user of the unit must take into account, and solve problems, connected with any other type of
risk that may occur to the plant.
Preliminary operations
Check unit and any options delivered with it : they must be intact and not damaged.
Transport the packaged unit and options as close as possible to installation place.
Don't put tools or weights on top of the packaged unit and don't use the machine as a storage of construction
tools.
Peculiarities required for the place of installation
Unit is suitable for working in an environment free of aggressive, corrosive and explosive agents, that otherwise
could irreparably damage unit and its parts.
Unit shall be supported by a solid structure not transmitting vibrations, suitable for unit (and its possible options)
weight and able to allow the clear servicing of the unit without interfering with the opening of unit service doors.
Allow the needed space for water and air connections and condensed water discharge system.
Keep a free minimum gap space as shown on fig. 5-1 in order to make both scheduled and not scheduled
maintenance possible.
In presence of additional optional kit BPL (external by-pass air duct system for free-cooling mode), besides
allowing the technical gap spaces needed for the basic unit servicing, keep into consideration those needed for
free-cooling fresh air duct and that for the access to the electrical box (fig. 5-2; 1 = main fresh air duct, 2 = free-
cooling air duct).
