Both hydraulic cylinders are equipped with a block valve which instantly shuts off the oil flow and, consequently, the machine in
the position it has reached, if one of the hydraulic pipes bursts. The cylinders also have a flow valve which regulates the speed at
which the harrow units open and close (E Fig. 6,7,8).
These valves are calibrated so that the movement of the cylinders and, consequently, the way the harrow units lift and lower, is
as smooth and uniform as possible. This movement can be regulated by tightening or loosening the ring nut that holds the flow
governor valve (E Fig. 6,7,8) until the two side harrow units lift and lower in the required way. After this, lock the valve in position
with the ring nut in the governor valve.
When the harrow units are vertical, make sure that you have sufficient visibility at the rear from the driving position of the
In this case, you are advised to mount one or more rear view mirrors on the tractor in order to ensure unobstructed visibility.
Whenever the two harrow units are set in the vertical position, make sure that they are automatically locked in place with

4.6.1 WORK DEPTH ADJUSTMENT

Depending on the way the implement is outfitted, the work depth of the folding harrow can be adjusted:
with hydraulically controlled cylinders.
Raise the roller to dig deeper into the soil. Lower the roller if the work depth must be more shallow.
Work depth adjustment with the hydraulically controlled cylinders is carried out from the driving position by means of a hydraulic
actuator that controls the two hydraulic cylinders (2 Fig. 1). These cylinders regulate the rear rollers (1 Fig. 1) and therefore de-
termine the work depth.
Both hydraulic cylinders have a blocking valve that allows the same roller adjustment and, thus, the same tilling depth to be obtained.

4.7 IN WORK

Begin work with the PTO at full rate. Gradually dig the implement into the ground. Do not depress the accelerator pedal too much
with the PTO engaged. To break up the soil to the required degree, you must consider several factors, i.e.:
the nature of the soil (medium consistency, sandy, clayey, etc.)
the work depth
the ground speed of the tractor
optimum machine adjustment
Soil crumbling is obtained at a low tractor ground speed, with the rear bar lowered and the blades spinning at 300 rpm. Besides
holding back the clods already broken up by the blades, the rear bar also obtains a well levelled and uniform surface after the soil
has been worked.

4.7.1 HOW TO WORK

Adjust the roller (8 Fig. 1) to suit the degree to which the soil must be crumbled, engage the PTO and begin to move forward
with the tractor, progressively lowering the implement. Cover a short distance, then check to make sure that the work depth, soil
crumbling and ground levelling operations have been carried out in the required way.
The speed of the tractor when the machine is operation must not exceed 5-6 kmh or components could be broken or da-
