- Assembly of loop handle and personal safety bar
1. Turn the loop handle into the correct position.
2. Note: Always install the safety end-stop (1) on
the operator side of the motorised scythe. If, during
use, you carry the motor scythe on your r.h. side,
install the safety end-stop in l.h. orientation. How-
ever, if, during use, you carry the motor scythe on
your l.h. side, install the safety end-stop in r.h.
orientation.
3. Install the safety end-stop (1) on the loop handle
and secure with the spring clip (2).
To secure the loop handle, tighten screw (3)
with a screwdriver. We recommend the T-25
Torx key integrated into the Bypack. During
tightening, hold the opposite nut with an
open-ended spanner.

Assembly of Debris Shield
Remove pre-assembled parts (1-2). Leave all
other componentry in their pre-assembled
state. Insert square nuts into guard from the
top. Insert fastening screws (2) and tighten
evenly.
Note: Both front and rear lugs of the clamps
(3) must be placed in the locating holes on
both sides of the shaft tube.

Preparation
- Adjusting the loop handle.
Adjust the loop handle for comfortable work
and body position (Abb. bzw. Fig.3)
-C onnect the trimmer to the outlet.
Check the outlet rating to see if it is
compatible with the unit identification data.
Use only approved outdoor extension cords
with the following minimum diameter rating.
Up to 75 ft/2,5 m long=1 mm
over 75 ft/2,5 m long=l.5mm
When using a cord reel, the cord must be
completely off the reel.
Plug the unit into the extension cord outlet and
secure with cord locking bar (Fig 5).
The trimmer has an anti-start guard to prevent
accidental starting.
Switching Unit On
• Assume Safe Stance
•Hold Wrap-around-handle with left hand
•Press locking pin on the left side (Fig.6, 1) of
•Activate the trigger switch (2) with locking
•Release trigger lock.
Switching unit off: release the trigger switch
(the trigger lock resets into locking position).
Suggested Applications
Use the electric trimmer only to cut grass and
weeds. Typical applications are cleaning
•around walls and fences,
•around cracks, cobblestone walkways and
•below bushes, trees and hedges.
overheating (for example, cut debris wrapped
around the string head can slow the motor
possibly causing overheating).
Under long and more severe operating condi-
tions, we recommend that occasionally the
motor is run for a few seconds at full speed
with no load to cool the motor.
The manufacturer's warranty excludes any
liability for damage to the motor that is
caused by overheating!
