Self Retracting Lanyard User Instructions
National standards and state, provincial and federal laws require the user to be trained before using this product. Use this manual as part
of a user safety training program that is appropriate for the user's occupation. These instructions must be provided to users before use
of the product and retained for ready reference by the user. The user must read, understand (or have explained), and heed all instructions,
labels, markings and warnings supplied with this product and with those products intended for use in association with it. FAILURE TO DO
SO MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.

The APTURA links the user to an overhead anchorage. It has a 13 to 30 foot (4.0 to 9.1-meter) long self-retracting, nylon web lanyard which allows the user to move around in his work area.

In addition, it is recommended that the user of personal fall arrest systems refer to ANSI Z359.1, Section 7, for important considerations in equipment selection, rigging, use, and training.

    User Instructions APTURA LT30 Self-Retracting Lanyard 9.3 CONNECTING THE SRL 9.3.1 ANCHORAGE MOUNTED SRL To use the APTURA SRL, connect the anchor shackle of the APTURA SRL securely to the anchorage connector. The user then connects the line snaphook securely to the back D-ring on the user’s full body harness.

    User Instructions APTURA LT30 Self-Retracting Lanyard Never work at a level where the point of attachment of the body harness is above the anchorage connector because this will increase the free fall distance and the deceleration distance and will cause higher forces on the body in the event of an accidental fall.

If in doubt about any inspection point, consult MSA or a competent person who is qualifi ed to perform Formal Inspection as set forth in Section Step 1: Inspect the APTURA SRL labels to verify that they are present and legible.
