Calibration procedure.
This chapter contains the calibration procedures that
are accessible to the user.
6.3.1
User calibration.
Use this function if the quality of the balancing pro-
cess is not optimal. This happens when wheels are
balanced properly on the unit, but still feel off balance
when driving.
• Balance a wheel as a NORMAL wheel type, to less
than .25 oz per plane.
• Check in Fine mode.
• Switch off the machine.
• Press "CAL".
• Switch on the machine, holding the "CAL" key down
for 7 seconds.
The display shows "CAL USR".
• Enter the correct dimensions for the wheel being
calibrated and press "F".
The display shows "1" and a beep is emitted.
• Spin the wheel and when it stops "2" is displayed.
• Mount the calibration weight (Figure 6.3.1.1) and
spin the wheel.
After the balancing run, stop the wheel using the brake
pedal. After a delay of two seconds "DNE" appears
(Figure 6.3.1.2) if calibration was successful, or an error
message appears if it failed. See Chapter 7.1 for error
messages.
